Too early to start thinking about Christmas inspiration? No! Most people like to know what’s coming down the pike so they can start planning early, pick up a few items along the way and be on the lookout for sale items that fit their decorating theme. Not everyone is like this of course, and those people may prefer to shop after Thanksgiving to decorate their tree. And that’s fine))) We like to be prepared for both types! Buffalo Check & Snowflakes Christmas Tree
The countdown is definitely on and I know everyone is scrambling to finish up those last minute details. I’m hoping decorating the tree is something you’ve checked off your list long ago. I put mine up in mid November but am just getting around to sharing it with you now. I’ve decorated our tree the same way for the past few years. The red and black buffalo check ribbon is actually the only new addition on the tree. This Noel pillow was a gift from my soon-to-be son-in-law last year and I was pleased with how well it went with the tree. We are tight for space in our small house at Christmas so these two Pier 1 chairs are nestled close to the tree. It works well if we need extra seating and can easily pull them into the living room. Love this Be Merry burlap bag (also a gift last year) which helps corral some of the gifts. I was happy to find coordinating wrapping paper at our local Dollar Store and a nearby Real Canadian Superstore. Living in the mountains, the buffalo-check bears are perfect! (I used a faux fur throw as a tree skirt.) I even found buffalo check tissue paper to put in this Merry Christmas burlap bag. Instead of winding the buffalo check ribbon all the way around the tree, I cut it into pieces and tucked them in various places. It’s not wired ribbon but it still worked. I got the ribbon at Fabricland. We have a variety of ornaments on our tree but the ski & snowflake theme plays a major role. If you look out the window in the pic below, you’ll see snow on the trees – so happy we finally got some of the white stuff. It was very late in coming this year! I’m not sure if I’ll get another post up before the big day, so I’ll take this opportunity to wish you all a blessed and happy Christmas! May your days be… Thanks for visiting!
