The reverse side has a simplified image in a complimentary color. They are one-of-a-kind, hand-pieced, paper mosaic works of original art. The earrings are made from paper glued to painted vinyl. I cut the vinyl shapes from reclaimed flooring samples, painted them with acrylic paint, then glued on paper found in magazines and discarded books. The earrings are protected with a first coat of Mod Podge, and a second coat of UV Resistant Acrylic Spray, which makes them water and light resistant. They are very light weight. The earrings hang 1 3/4″ from the bottom of the ear wire to the tip of the leaf. I use stainless steel ear wires and jump rings – a metal that is hypo-allergenic and tarnish resistant. I offer a titanium option for those with nickel allergies or other sensitivities.
