Capitulo Dos: 2018Drawers–I like to say that word in either a southern drawl or with an English accent–it just is more fun. Are your drawers at home neat and organized? Do you have a junk drawer? More than one? I have picked up lonely drawers here and there (and by here and there I mean restore places, the side of the road, from too far gone dressers) over the years and created various things from them. I have some looking up from their cold, dusty spots in the garage begging me to use them. Thought I would peruse some of my past post for inspiration. Check out all of the links for more details! Hubby grabbed a set of waterbed base drawers at a garage sale. I used several to make ottomans like this one HERE: and this rustic, industrial style ONE: and ONE on taller legs: I have made SIDE TABLES from drawers, a BAR SHELF, and a BEDROOM SHELF unit for my daughter. Bathroom shelves such as THIS ONE, and ONE WITH HOOKS. I used croquet handles on A DRAWER to make a shelf. Drawers make great planters. I made a FLOWER BED with this one: and a SHUTTER PLANTER with one. One of the waterbed drawers worked in a DRESS-UP center. So many other ideas out there–hope these inspire you! Just a reminder–the Creating With the Stars contest is still on–would love a click on #12, my island made from shutters and a DRAWER. You need to scroll down past the vacation entry stuff to see the links! THANK YOU! Linking up at Coastal Charm.
