Hand-sewn Face Mask with embroidery flowers / Sick Mask for | Etsy This is a hand-and-machine sewn cotton mask with two layers of cotton, and a felt inner. The main mask is made of light blue, cotton double gauze, embellished with two symmetrical blue thistle machine embroidery patches, which are ironed on and then appliqu?d to secure them. The photographs show the original mask, which has sold out. If you order, your mask will be custom-made. Please note: each mask is unique and sewn by hand, therefore some irregularities and imperfections may occur. This is a generously-sized mask: 20cm wide, 14cm tall at middle seam. I will send your mask with the elastics untied, so that you can get the best fit for yourself. Flatten the two ends together, loosely tie and then adjust by tightening the knot. Once you’re happy with the length, you can then slide the knot around into the lining so that it disappears. It is most comfortable to wear the mask with the elastics a little bit loose, so that there is minimal pressure on the back of the ear. WASH & CARE: a gentle soap and gentle agitation by hand in low temp water is best. Hang or lay flat to dry. In between washes, I’ve found that a little piece of tape wound around your finger with the sticky-side out, dabbed across the surface of the mask, will remove a lot of dust and fluff and will make it look nice and fresh again. To prolong the life of your mask and reduce washing, you can also layer it over a disposable mask. Check out the shop for other designs, or contact me directly for custom orders!
