I’m just going to jump right into today’s post because it’s going to be a busy day! If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that I definitely LOVE my neutrals. One day I will post a picture of my closet because it’s almost laughable how many cream/tan/beige tops & sweaters I have. It’s about 80% of my closet! To me, one of the most chic outfits a girl can create is when she mixes and matches neutrals. It always looks so classic and during summer, it’s particularly easy because white is very in season. -I always try to stick to no more than 3 different “shades” when putting together an outfit. This is true even when I’m working with color. I feel like once you start adding in more colors (unless it’s a patterned piece) it looks a little chaotic. To accomplish this, I try to match my shoes to one other piece in my outfit whether it’s my top, my pants or my bag. -During summer, to create the neutral/monochromatic look, I usually start with white bottoms (white shorts/white pants/a white skirt/etc.) and then build the outfit from there. It makes it really easy if you have one neutral piece that you’re starting out with. -Having neutral accessories is definitely key if you want to accomplish that monochromatic look overall. My straw bag and my Louis Vuitton Neverfull are my go-to bags during summer. I also am almost always wearing tan/beige/white shoes this time of year! -As it starts to get chillier, throwing a neutral jacket or sweater really pulls the whole look together!
