(Tools are shown for display, this listing is only for the rotating tool shelf kit.) See it in action: . This is a rotating tool stand with slots and holes for tools of various sizes, made with 1/4″ Baltic birch and hardwood dowels. There is also a hollow in the top shelf for storing things like 16″ rulers. It weighs about 7 pounds and has a smooth bottom. The base is 400 mm / 15.75 inches in diameter, the top shelf is 385 mm / 15 1/8 inches high (measured from the tabletop). The tops of the shelves (measured from the top of the base) are approximately: 155mm 260mm 365mm I say “approximately” because we buy Baltic birtch from different distributors and the thickness can vary between 4.5mm to 5.5mm. The fittings on the top shelf are 5mm and 7.5mm diameter holes. The fittings on the 2nd shelf down: – Sets for Metric and SAE Allen wrenches with a slight bit of padding to make it easy to remove and return the wrench: – Metric: 1.27, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5, 4, 5, 5.5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 – SAE: 1/16, 5/64, 3/32, 7/64, 1/8, 9/64, 5/32, 3/16, 7/32, 1/4, 5/16, 3/8, 7/16, 1/2, 9/16 – 12mm and 7.5mm diameter sets for general tools The fittings on the third shelf down, or the bottom shelf: – 17.75 mm round fittings for tools – 8mm and 13mm slots for box wrenches – a 30mm wide slot for pliers and larger, leaning tools The base has room for larger instruments like squares and levels that are not easy to suspend. Custom shelves are available, I can replace the wrench slots with more holes for screwdrivers, add a second set of Allen wrench holders, or make other changes for between $10 and $60 depending on the complexity. The stand comes as a complete kit as shown in the fifth photo and includes printed instructions. All holes are pre-drilled, including the end holes in the support columns. The only tool needed for assembly is a Phillips screwdriver, should take 10-15 minutes depending on how good you are with a screwdriver. I make these kits in Pittsburgh, PA, using my Lasersaur laser cutter and hand tools. Fasteners are from American manufacturing supply firms. Dimensions: diameter is 15.5″ / 40cm, the height of the top shelf is 14.5″ / 37cm. If you want to save a few bucks, I’m also offering cosmetically damaged stands at a discount. These work just fine but might have surface splitting or a clipped edge of a base panel as shown.
