Makeup products photography Over the last year there have been a lot of beauty products that I’ve tried which I had never tried before, so as 2017 has now ended I thought it was time that I shared my favourite 2017 beauty discoveries. Some are new brands I’ve discovered, others are simply new products that I’ve tried for the first time and fallen in love with. With that being said, it’s time to share my favourite beauty discoveries with you. Colourpop Colourpop has to be my absolute favourite brand discovery of the year, which I’m sure will come as no surprise if you’re a regular reader of my blog. I won’t say too much as I will be writing a post on 5 you need to try from Colourpop next week, but if you haven’t tried any of their products already you definitely need to. Colourpop is a budget-friendly brand with products that are way better than you expect, and are even better than some high-end beauty products. I’m so glad I made the plunge to try Colourpop in 2017, if you’re thinking of making an order than my absolute favourite products would have to be the Satin Lips and their Super Shock Shadows. Skincare 2017 has been the year I started to not only pay more attention to my skincare, but also the year I’ve started enjoying having a skincare routine and finding new skincare products. The L’Oreal Pure Clay Detox mask has to be one of my absolute favourite beauty discoveries from 2017 simply because it just works so well. When I first tried this mask I wasn’t really expecting anything, but as the mask starts to dry you can literally see it working, which is incredibly satisfying. It completely cleans out my pores and really does detox my skin, I absolutely love this mask. The other skincare product that I had to mention is from another new brand to me; The Ordinary, and is their Hyaluronic Acid. Since picking up a few of The Ordinary products at the beginning of May the hyaluronic acid has become a firm favourite of mine, so much so that when I ran out of this product and couldn’t get hold of it anywhere my skin really struggled, and since having it again it pretty much immediately made a difference. I love how it helps prevent dry patches and ensures my moisturiser absorbs the maximum amount of moisture possible into my skin. Palettes I absolutely love using makeup palettes, especially ones for the face which contain multiple products as they are so convenient so I had to include the Hourglass Surreal Light Ambient Light Edit palette. I received this for Christmas 2016 and absolutely adore the palette, and love that it gives you the option to try a few products at once. The bronzer is definitely my favourite product but there isn’t a product in the palette that I don’t use or really enjoy, Hourglass is definitely a brand I need to try more from. The other palette I had to mention is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Glowkit in Sundipped. This was the first Anastasia Beverly Hills product I tried and luckily it didn’t disappoint. The formula is incredibly smooth, and pigmented, providing the most insane glow. Their highlighters really are incredible, I’m so glad I finally tried them. Lip products Choosing my favourite 2017 lip beauty discoveries was probably the hardest thing for this post as I have so many favourites, but of the new discoveries in 2017 aside from Colourpop, it had to be my two Charlotte Tilbury Lipsticks. I’m absolutely obsessed with them, and they are always the two lipsticks I reach for if I want something quick and easy that I know is comfortable on the lips and lasts well too. I have the shade Pillow Talk in the Matte Revolution formula, and the shade Bitch Perfect in the K.I.S.S.I.N.G formula, and adore them both. Charlotte Tilbury is a brand I need to try more from in 2018.The other lip product is more random and is the Blistex Intensive Moisturiser. I have the driest lips that tend to crack quite easily and since picking this up I’ve noticed such a difference. It really helps prevent this and I’m so glad I rediscovered this in 2017. Other 2017 beauty discoveries Something I never thought I would be including in my favourite 2017 beauty discovery post is Primark nails, but they really do deserve a mention. I’ve been enjoying wearing various pairs throughout the year and providing I apply the glue to the nail and my nail I can easily get these to last 1-2 weeks, which for the price of ?1-?2 is absolutely incredible as far as I’m concerned. They have so many pretty designs too so you’re spoilt for choice, and they don’t look at all as if they are from Primark. The final product I had to mention is Spectrum makeup brushes, since receiving an eye set for Christmas in 2016 and picking up a few since I have to say they are the best makeup brushes I have ever owned. They are super soft, don’t moult and wash really well too. I love them so much, with my favourites being the B05, A08, A13 and the B04. If you haven’t tried them yet, I definitely recommend them. What are your favourite 2017 beauty discoveries? Have you tried any of the products I’ve mentioned?
