Adobe PDF (16pgs, 4MB+) This is a pattern for my “tabistry” Gusseted Corset just like the one found at tabistry.blogspot.com. You can make this corset with little to no supply costs using ordinary household items you may have lying around. All that is needed is: • soda pop and beer can PULL TABS (about 2000 tabs or a 1/2 gallon) • SCRAP FABRIC or used clothing, like a T-shirt, or even “plarn” As for tools, you will really only need: • SCISSORS to cut your weaving material strips • RULER or tape measure if you choose to alter the fit • Fabric GLUE or needle/thread to secure ends (optional) Although this is an advanced project due to it’s size, this tutorial covers everything you need to know to successfully make a corset out of can tabs. There is no need to purchase the “Tabistry Basics” Tutorial for this project (unless you would like to learn additional techniques not covered here) I’ve included all the techniques and information necessary to make the corset including: • Preparing Material and Tabs • Making Foundation Chain & Scale Pattern • Shaping Panels • Tying Off Ends • Finishing Edges and Adding Trim • Joining Material Strips Follow along as I cover in detail how to make this easy to custom-fit corset. You’ll be able to make/alter your own corset using the techniques covered in this tutorial, which include: • The Original Illustrated Pattern • Measuring, Fitting, and Altering Suggestions • Ideas and suggestions for finishing your new corset PLEASE READ: You will receive an email from Etsy letting you know your Adobe Acrobat (PDF) file is ready for download. If you do not receive anything within 24 hours, please contact me by Etsy convo or email at mieljolie@yahoo.com. COPYRIGHT NOTE: My tutorials and patterns are shared for personal use. I prefer that you do not sell products directly from my pattern to make a profit, especially on online stores or auctions. However, please use the skills learned to make your own custom designs that you are free to sell. And, if you want to see more projects and tutorials like this, please make every effort to give credit for the work.
